From 2005-2012, the Center on Instruction was based at RMC Research Corporation in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. The partnership included five other organizations:

Instructional Research Group (IRG)
Lawrence Hall of Science at the University of California, Berkeley
The Meadows Center for Preventing Educational Risk at The University of Texas at Austin
