eLearning

The Center on Instruction offers information on eLearning. Any content that can be delivered via a variety of media, including the Internet, intranet/extranet, video tape, television, and CD/DVD is considered eLearning. It can be instructor-led or self-directed, in real time or asynchronous and can help educators improve outcomes for special populations of students K-12 through credit recovery or accelerated and advanced placement courses.

The term eLearning includes:

  • web-based learning
  • computer-based learning
  • virtual classrooms
  • digital collaboration
